It was Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" who sang, "Diamond stud earrings are a girl's best friend." Okay, so she sang that it was just diamonds, but I'm altering it for my purposes. :-)

 In fact, diamond earrings are possibly the perfect accessory. I can't think of many things that they don't go with. You can wear them with jeans, a t-shirt and heels and be all set to go anywhere that has a semi-dressy dress code. 
Diamond stud earrings are magnificent with the basic little black dress. You will look classy, elegant and timeless. Even smaller studs with a sundress and sandals can make you feel fresh and beautiful. I based my SL versions on two sizes and styles. The first is a smaller diamond  in a patterned Bezel setting that is available in platinum and gold settings.  The second are the statement making gumball-sized classically set diamond studs.


Whether it is a single solitaire earring in round, cushion or princess cut or a pair consisting of white and colored diamonds in one of many new patterns, and settings in white or yellow gold, diamond stud earrings adds a sparkle to your ears and are an ideal gift, both for lovers of hip-hop and bling, and the more traditionally minded, and when it comes to cost you can purchase diamond earrings online at a fraction of the normal cost if you know where to look. Don't forget though, the 4 C's - Carat, Clarity, Cut and Color will affect the value and price of your studs.

Chic is always the goal with accenting with animal prints. Be mindful of the quality of the print and in most cases it's best to wear only one piece at a time or you might end up looking like "Fashion Roadkill."


A striking leopard print, for example, can liven up a basic black dress in an instant; a bright piece is nicely countered by a polished zebra print; and a pair of jeans and crisp, white tee, suddenly look like a million bucks when worn with cute cheetah-print shoes.

So 2011 Shopping Event!

The Shops at Liberty will be sponsoring a shopping event starting this Friday, December 17th, 2010!

Each participating shop will mark down a minimum of TWO (2) items for $50L that will be available for purchase during the event.  Shoppers will need to hunt through the vendors in each shop to discover which items are marked down to $50L. In addition, shop owners can "swap out" which items are $50L EVERY DAY to increase the fun!!

The Niven Collection has carefully selected favorite items in my shop, but you will have to look through the vendors to located which ones have been marked down to $50L. :-)

My current release for Autumn/Winter - L U X E - (pronounced LUKES) brings rich, jewel like colors and luxurious feeling fabrics with modern, wearable everyday pieces that can be mixed and matched - dressed up or dressed down. The L U X E collection is inspired by elegance, mystery and style – a sense of femininity with an understated edginess. Shades of Silver, Gold, Purple, Beige, Turquiose, Green - set the tone for the season.
 I've revamped my shops and select MonoChrome I outfits have been reduced 50% to $150L with the exception of the Raven Flown Tops.(see photo below)  MonoChrome II is still for sale in addition to select favorites from previous collections.

 I have left out the $10L special outfits as well.  There are four (4) new sets of jewel offerings  - L U X E Baubles - featuring Liquid Gold jeweled collar with matching 5kt. Amethyst studs, Hermes Hammered Gold collar (3 options) with match silver/gold hoop earrings, Diamond Collar in either Gold or Silver options with matching 5kt. Diamond Stud earrings that are in matching bezel setting. 
LUXE FACE tattoo makeups are a box of 4 tattoos in silver and gold that has eye only and eye and lip tattoo options. More LUXE FACE tattoos to come. MonoChrome FACE tattoos are still available in either singles or fat pack.  Lace masks are sold in a pack of 4.

Some previews of TWO new dresses I'm finishing for the shop.  They will be available at a SPECIAL price this weekend!  The short jacket in white with black trim looks fantastic with the skinny pants (might just add some to the box for you!).  The black dress also has a body suit bottom so you can wear it without the skirt as well!  Also will release new Kabuki Face Tattoo makeup (wearing with black dress).
